"Big Duke" Grecko as well known among the Kilrathi as a deadly marine. He led the First Marine commando unit which took Vukar Tag, then successfully defended it from the onslaught of the legions of Imperial guard hich attempted to take it back, allowing for the success of operation "Backlash."

Grecko as the only man to come out alive from Ambassador Vak'ga's bombing which took out Admiral Banbridge and several other military leaders. Following the exposure of the duplicity of the Kilrathi, he was appointed the new head of the Join Chiefs of Staff. It was his plan for the marines to board the Hakaga supercarriers and destroy them from inside, and was killed when he stayed behind with the detonation device in order to trigger the explosion of the antimatter mine hich took out the carrier.
