Way back in the 20th century, there was a movie (in 2D, this was before the trivids) about an airborne fighter squadron. In this movie was a character with the callsign, "Iceman," who was supposed to be this cool character. That guy couldn't hold a candle to Maj. Casey. Iceman maybe spoke four/five sentences to us the whole Vega campaign (WC1). He was calm, cool, and deadly. I would have traded any of the wingmen in WC3 for him.

Unfortunately, his mannerisms didn't win him any friends, but he was respected throughout the Tiger's Claw. Sometime around 2660, he is able to get his wife pregnant with a son, who later grows up to be a great pilot himself. Though surviving the Claw's destruction in 2656, he is soon killed, though it is uncertain how. Hawk later tells Iceman's son, born only months before his death, that the Kilrathi picked up his lifepod with Iceman alive in it, killed him and mutilated his corpse, and sent him back to be discovered after having had "their fun"; this may well just have been a lie to anger Casey into killing Kilrathi terrorists "The Cult of Sivar" they were ordered to protect.
