Dean "Primate" McCall is almost certainly the Wedge Antilles (Star Wars) of Wing Commanders 3 and 4. A brilliant flyer who is a constant throughout all important battles yet never gets major credit. An everyday freedom fighter. He served his first TOD on board the TCS Victory in Blair's suadron, although he never flew alongside him. After the war, Primate was assigned to the TCS Lexington at the same time as Blair, Maniac et al. Smarter than your average hero, Primate quickly learned of the Confederation's treachery, and defected to the union of Border Worlds, despite being Earthborn, shortly after Confed's abduction of the biochemist. He as soon reunited with his comerades from the Lexington on board the BS Intrepid, and continued to fly and fight alongside our heroes until the conflict is resolved, racking up more than his share of kills hich left him up alongside Panther in the top half of the Intrepid's killboard.
