Spyder, another war veteran, got to know Hawk before and during the Nephilim engagement, and being around him he came to understand that Hawk as nothing but an empty shell waiting to die. He learned to accept Hawk's single minded fury against the Kilrathi until Hak as killed during the Nephilim engagement. He passed on this information to Casey, helping him to cope with Hawk's death. A good fighter, he was alays near the top of the killboard and flew with Black Widow Squadron.

Spyder was assigned to the Cerberus for its black ops tour in and around the Sol sector, and helped turn back yet another Nephilim invasion force.
